Meet Lisa Maddox-Vinson

A Career Built Around Connection

Lisa Maddox-Vinson is an Early Childhood speaker, trainer, coach, and consultant who brings more than thirty years of experience to educators, leaders, and programs serving children birth to five. Her work has always centered on connection: helping adults feel encouraged, capable, and ready to create meaningful learning experiences for young children.

With warmth, color, movement, and practical strategy, Lisa helps educators see their work through a more joyful lens. She believes professional learning should not only build skills, but also renew the people who use those skills every day.

The Philosophy Behind the Fun

Lisa’s joy is intentional. Her color, movement, music, and playful energy are not extras. They reflect a deeper belief that meaningful learning happens when people feel safe, valued, involved, and inspired.

Her sessions model the same kind of learning Early Childhood educators create for children: active, curious, relational, and full of purpose.

From Libraries to Leadership

Before becoming a sought-after speaker and trainer, Lisa served for fifteen years as Children’s Library Director for the LaVergne Public Library, where she helped create nationally recognized children’s programming rooted in literacy, family engagement, creative programming, and community connection.

She later supported educators and directors through Austin Peay State University, Tennessee State University, and the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance, advising leaders, teaching Early Childhood courses, and strengthening professional growth across the field.
